The Marianne Tobias Music Program at Eskenazi Health is excited to partner with the American Pianists Association for their 2024-2025 competition season.

The American Pianists Association nurtures the artistic growth of America's top young pianists by focusing on creative expression and career development. Their largest and most prestigious support is given through a biennial competition known as the American Piano Awards. Since its founding in 1979, the American Pianists Association has supported 48 winners.

This year’s classical piano competition will feature five finalists, all of whom will give solo performances at Eskenazi Health throughout the 2024-2025 competition cycle. The first finalist performance will feature Avery Gagliano on Wednesday, October 9, at 12 p.m. in the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation Concourse.

Having made her debut at Carnegie Hall at the age of just 20, 22-year-old pianist Avery Gagliano brings sincerity, emotional depth, and exquisite voicing, alongside a thoughtful and intriguing spirit to the stage. Avery came to international acclaim as the First Prize and Best Concerto Prize winner of the 2020 National Chopin Piano Competition, and as the only American semifinalist at the 18th International Chopin Competition in 2021.

This concert will be broadcast live and viewable from all televisions on the Eskenazi Health downtown campus, including patient rooms, on channel 17.
