The Marianne Tobias Music Program at Eskenazi Health is excited to partner with the American Piano Awards for their 2024-2025 competition season.

The American Piano Awards nurtures the artistic growth of America's top young pianists by focusing on creative expression and career development. Their largest and most prestigious support is given through a biennial competition. Since its founding in 1979, the American Piano Awards has supported 49 winners.

This year’s classical piano competition will feature five finalists, all of whom will give solo performances at Eskenazi Health throughout the 2024-2025 competition cycle. The second finalist performance will feature Sasha Kasman Laude on Wednesday, November 6, at 12 p.m. in the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation Concourse.

Kasman Laude appears as a guest artist and teacher at the invitation of such festivals as International Keyboard Institute and Festival, Southeastern Piano Festival, Utah State University Summer Piano Festival, Kyiv International Summer Academy (Ukraine), Busan International Music Academy (South Korea), and PianoCity Milano (Italy). She has given solo recitals at such major venues as Steinway Hall in New York City, Yamaha Ginza Hall in Tokyo, Salle Cortot in Paris, and Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. In 2019, she was named a Young Artist-in-Residence of National Public Radio’s Performance Today, hosted by Fred Child. Her playing and interviews have been broadcast on NPR stations nationwide.

This concert will be broadcast live and viewable from all televisions on the Eskenazi Health downtown campus, including patient rooms, on channel 17. Learn more about the Marianne Tobias Music Program here
