The Marianne Tobias Music Program will feature Indianapolis Suzuki Academy Faculty on Wednesday, November 27, at 12 p.m. in the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation Concourse.
The Suzuki Method® was developed in the mid-20th century by Dr. Shinichi Suzuki, who noticed that all children acquire their native language naturally and fluently. He reasoned that if a person has the skill to acquire their mother tongue, then they have the necessary ability to become proficient on a musical instrument. He modeled his method, which he called "Talent Education," after the process of natural language acquisition. This performance will feature violinist Amanda Baer and cellist Eliza Bracken, who both maintain active performing and teaching careers throughout the Indianapolis area.
This concert will be broadcast live and viewable from all televisions on the Eskenazi Health downtown campus, including patient rooms, on channel 17. Learn more about the Marianne Tobias Music Program here.
