Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center invites mental health professionals to attend our virtual educational speaker series. This webinar is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12 from 4 - 5 p.m.

The webinar will feature Anna Kirkman, associate chief counsel, discussing the legal framework for caring for incapacitated adults and will cover the following topics: assessing adult incapacity; surrogates and available decision-makers; managing unbefriended adults; family guardianship; how and when guardianship and commitment are most appropriate; holding with or without an emergency detention; and other facts and questions surrounding this topic.

Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center’s monthly speaker series is free to attend. Eligible participants (LMHC, LMFT and LCSW) have the opportunity to earn CEUs by attending the presentation.
