Center of Hope - Programs - Eskenazi Health

The Eskenazi Health Center of Hope is dedicated to caring for victims of sexual assault and family violence. The Center of Hope was created by Eskenazi Health in collaboration with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office in 1996 and continues to work closely with prosecutors, local law enforcement and victims’ assistance agencies to provide care for victims of sexual assault and family violence in the Indianapolis area.

Working with local law enforcement, all statements and protective orders can be made on-site without leaving the Eskenazi Health main campus. Services at the Center of Hope include:

  • Counseling services
  • Crisis intervention services
  • Forensic evidence collection
  • Injury documentation
  • Medical care and follow-up
  • Prophylactic medication
  • Safety planning
  • Support group referrals
     

Along with its care for victims, the Center of Hope also offers a class for nurses to become sexual assault examiners that meets International Association of Forensic Nurses standards.
