Lung Cancer Screening Program - Health Services - Eskenazi Health

Breathe easier knowing you’re taking control of your health and talking with your health care provider about your risk of lung cancer. Lung cancer is the number one cancer killer in the U.S., but it doesn’t need to be. A lung cancer screening with a low-dose CT scan can detect the disease early when it is most treatable and even curable.

To be eligible for this low-dose CT scan, individuals must:

  • Be between the ages of 55 – 77

  • Be a current or former heavy smoker

  • Have no symptoms of lung cancer

All potential patients will first answer some questions over the phone. Those who meet the requirements will be scheduled for a face-to-face appointment and a low-dose CT scan. The scan will show if further testing for lung cancer is needed.

All patients must be referred by a health care provider. Please talk with your provider to learn more about this screening.

The single best way to decrease your cancer risk is to not smoke. Free resources to help you quit are available at www.IN.gov/isdh/tpc and 1.800.784.8669..

The Eskenazi Health Lung Cancer Screening Program is a GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer Screening Center of Excellence.
