Eskenazi Health is hosting a blood drive in collaboration with the Indiana Blood Center on Wednesday, Feb. 24.

The event will be held at the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital from noon to 4 p.m. in the Faegre Baker Daniels Conference Room, located on the first floor of the Eskenazi Health Outpatient Care Center. Parking is available in the Eskenazi Health Parking Garage, located at 720 Eskenazi Ave.

The donation process should take less than an hour. It is recommended that donors have a light snack before donating blood that day. Most people are eligible to donate, and there are very few causes for deferral and very few medications that are not accepted. Donors are encouraged to walk in at any time between noon and 4 p.m. to donate blood.
 
The Indiana Blood Center must see 550 people each and every day to meet patient needs at the more than 60 hospitals it supplies. If you’re unsure if you’re eligible to donate, please email eligibility@indianablood.org for more information.
