Eskenazi Health receives Becker’s Hospital Review recognition for second consecutive year
Indianapolis, March 1, 2017 – Eskenazi Health has been named as one of Becker’s Hospital Review’s “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare,” which was announced earlier today. This marks the second consecutive year that Eskenazi Health has earned this highly-valued and meaningful distinction.
“Our priority at Eskenazi Health remains the overall health of the community in the broadest possible terms,” said Dr. Lisa Harris, chief executive officer at Eskenazi Health. “Our biggest opportunity to have a positive impact on the health of our patients is committing to attracting the best and brightest minds in health and wellness, and providing the latest technology and treatments – all in an environment of learning, healing and healthful living.”
The list recognizes organizations committed to fulfilling missions, creating outstanding cultures and offering competitive benefits to their employees. Becker’s website included the following on Eskenazi Health:
At Eskenazi Health, our focus is on excellent quality, patient-centered care that encourages patient participation and interaction. We are devoted to creating an environment of self-care that ensures that we take the best care of our patients, while improving the health and vitality of our community – starting with ourselves. We work hard to ensure all employees are provided with access to the tools, programs and resources needed to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
According to Becker’s Hospital review, the chosen organizations encourage professional development among their employees and promote tomorrow's leaders. Many organizations have implemented employee recognition programs, mentorship and offer competitive benefits. The organizations coordinate employee and family outings as well as volunteering opportunities and provide community support.
The "150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare" list features both health care provider organizations and health care-specific companies. Other organizations on the list include Boston Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, MD Anderson Cancer Center and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
