The Indiana Hospital Association (IHA) has named the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital as a 2025 INspire Hospital of Distinction in recognition of care practices that improve maternal and infant health.

IHA’s Inspire award, which is funded by the Indiana Department of Health’s Safety PIN (Protecting Indiana’s Newborns) grant, was developed to encourage the implementation of best practice care for Hoosier moms and babies and recognizes hospitals for excellence in addressing key drivers of infant and maternal health.

The INspire Hospital of Distinction recognition is given to hospitals that have implemented best practices in six key areas including safe infant sleep, breastfeeding, perinatal substance use, AIM (Alliance for Innovation in Maternal Health) safety bundles for obstetric hemorrhage and maternal hypertension and addressing key social drivers of health.
