It is important to strengthen shoulders because they are part of many daily activities. Examples: lifting groceries, any type of manual labor, household chores, raking leaves, handling children, etc.

Stand upright with your feet shoulder-width apart or sit in a chair with your back straight and your feet on the floor. Lift both arms out to your sides, and keep them straight. This is your starting position.

Move your arms in a forward circle 10 times.

Move your arms in a backward circle 10 times.

Repeat steps two and three at least three times.
