Eskenazi Health will be holding two upcoming health fairs with opportunities to receive dozens and free health screenings, including free sports physicals and COVID-19 vaccines. Eskena
zi Health Center Forest Manor, 3840 N. Sherman Dr. on Saturday Aug. 5; and Eskenazi Health Center West 38th Street, 5514 W. 38th St., on Aug. 12; will host Community Day Health Fairs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with free health screenings and COVID-19 vaccinations available.
Health screenings provided will include blood pressure, body mass index, and more. Everyone attending these fairs, will have the opportunity to receive door prizes and giveaways, along with on-site games and entertainment. Radio One will be partnering on the event and will broadcast live during the fair.
Free information will also be provided including the following: mental health, health insurance, adolescent health, women’s health, and nutrition. Free sports physicals will be available for children ages 10-18 years old between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
“These health fairs come at a perfect time for back-to-school season providing a great opportunity for the whole family to take advantage of our free health screening and additional primary care needs,” says Saura Fortin-Erazo, M.D., chief medical officer of Eskenazi Health Center. “In conjunction with National Health Center week, our health centers are honored to help fulfill our goal to strengthen and serve our neighbors as needed.”
All Eskenazi Health Center locations across Marion County offer a variety of services that include OB/GYN, mental health, primary care (pediatric, adolescent and adult), medical-legal partnership, a pharmacy, diabetes education, dietetics consultation, and women, infants and children services provided by the Marion County Public Health Department.
