Skilled and compassionate team members can make all the difference in a patient’s experience. This summer, Eskenazi Health is launching a new award program to recognize some of the exceptional patient care staff on our team. Eligible staff for the Sunshine Award include medical assistants, patient care technicians, health care technicians and student nurses who demonstrate professionalism and positivity while providing compassionate and supportive care to patients and their families.

Other criteria for nominees include:

• Displays a positive attitude and professionalism in the workplace
• Exemplifies Eskenazi Health’s mission, vision and values
• Honors and supports all members of Eskenazi Health to deliver the best experience for patients, families and visitors
• Establishes a special connection with patients, families and visitors through trust and emotional support
• Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork with peers and co-workers

Each month, a review committee will select a winner from the deserving nominations. The first recognition will be awarded in July 2022.
