Free concert part of Marianne Tobias Music Program at Eskenazi Health
Indianapolis, March, 6, 2017 – The local bassoon-playing sextet Rocky Bassoon will be joined by three singers and a guitar player in performing a concert on Monday, March 20, 2017, at the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital at 720 Eskenazi Ave. The concert will begin at noon and be held at the north end of the Eli Lilly and Company Foundation Concourse.
Rocky Bassoon will play The Beatles “like you’ve never heard before.” Members of Rocky Bassoon include Diana Ortega, Matt Gutwein, Mark Ortwein, Doug Spaniol, Mike Muszinski and Kelly Swensson. The band performed this past year as part of the Tonic Ball presented by Eskenazi Health, which annually benefits Second Helpings, a local organization that provides food to those in need.
Vocal stylists who will accompany Rocky Bassoon during the concert include Annie Hostetter, Becky Hostetter and Jacob Eaton, who will also play guitar.
This free concert is part of the Marianne Tobias Music Program at Eskenazi Health, which brings music to the patients, visitors and staff at Eskenazi Health. Tobias helped to establish the program, including donating a concert grand piano that resides in the main concourse of the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital.
