This spring, Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Caring Recovery Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) (formerly known as Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Narcotics Treatment Program (NTP)) will relocate to 3419 English Ave. from 832 N. Meridian St. The new location will provide numerous benefits and opportunities to offer services close to many of OTP’s current clients and near the downtown area. Clients and team members can also access the new location by IndyGo Bus Route 26 – Keystone Crosstown and IndyGo Bus Route 56 – Emerson (bus route maps are available here).
The new building is a transformation of a former retail space into a place of hope and recovery with public art installations and artwork from Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center clients available for all to enjoy. The space is much larger than the current location and will offer improved access and double the availability of services for the community as well as improved parking. Services will include medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD), individual and group therapy, case management, and psychiatric treatment for additional mental health diagnoses.
Over the past several months, Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center leaders, spearheaded by Dr. Overley, have worked hard to engage and collaborate with the Twin Aire neighborhood residents to understand their priorities and goals for the neighborhood and have provided information and answered questions about the Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center program. Working in partnership with a local developer, construction wrapped up at the end of February, furniture was installed in March and equipment installation is happening in April.
