Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Educational Speaker Series – Occupational Therapy’s Role in Mental Health

Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center invites mental health professionals to attend our virtual educational speaker series. This webinar is scheduled for Thursday, June 13 from 4 - 5 p.m.

The webinar will feature Leah Van Antwerp, OTD, MS, OTR, CAS, clinical assistant professor with the department of occupational therapy at Indiana University School of Health & Human Sciences, and Kate Schrader, OTD, graduate student with the department of occupational therapy at Indiana University School of Health & Human Sciences, will who discuss the role of occupational therapists in mental health care.

The presentation will provide an overview of how occupational therapy supports mental health in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Van Antwerp and Schrader will discuss the impact occupational therapy can have in this setting and will highlight ways in which occupational therapists facilitate change in mental health care.

Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center’s monthly speaker series is free to attend. Eligible participants (LMHC, LMFT and LCSW) have the opportunity to earn CEUs by attending the presentation.
