Addiction Services - Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center - Eskenazi Health

Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Adult Addiction provides outpatient services for clients with drug and alcohol dependence as well as gambling addiction. Clients who participate in this program must be 18 years of age or older. Please visit Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Children’s Services for more information about the services available to children and teens.

  • Caring Recovery Opioid Treatment Program

    Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Caring Recovery Opioid Treatment Program provides medication for opioid use disorder, counseling, case management and psychiatric services to clients with opioid dependence.

    The fully integrated, co-occurring treatment includes services for clients with addiction and mental health issues with treatment focusing on the fundamentals of recovery, development of recovery plans and return to use prevention. Medication for opioid use disorder is utilized along with individual, group and family counseling. To be admitted to the Caring Recovery Opioid Treatment Program, clients must be dependent on an opiate drug as assessed by the program physician and nursing team. Clients will receive assessment and treatment for other addiction issues and mental health needs. Clients are engaged in treatment planning during the assessment process and review their goals and progress throughout treatment. 

     
  • Comprehensive Addictions Treatment

    Our fully integrated, dual-diagnosis treatment includes services for clients with addiction and mental health issues with treatment focusing on the fundamentals of recovery, development of recovery plans and relapse prevention. Individual, group and family therapy along with case management services are also provided. Psychiatric services are provided by our addiction psychiatrists and our multi-disciplinary team works together to offer clients a combination of therapies and medications to support recovery and promote overall wellness.

In case of a mental health emergency, you may also go to the Thota Rao, M.D., & Aruna Rau, M.D., Crisis Intervention Unit on the Eskenazi Health downtown campus from 8:30 a.m. – 11 p.m. From 11 p.m. - 8:30 a.m., emergency psychiatric services are provided by crisis specialist clinicians in the Michael & Susan Smith Emergency Department also on the Eskenazi Health downtown campus.
