All are welcome to visit an Eskenazi Health community health fair on Saturday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eskenazi Health West 38th Street, located at 5515 W. 38th Street.

Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to meet nurses who provide care at the health center. Free health screenings provided to guests will include blood pressure, glucose, depression, asthma control and HIV.

In addition, knowledgeable personnel will be on hand at information booths covering a wide variety of topics including but not limited to health insurance, family planning, nutrition and wellness, autism and Eskenazi Health Rehabilitation Services.

Eskenazi Health Rehabilitation Services outpatient and other areas will be showcased at the health fair, and attendees will also have the opportunity to dispose of unwanted prescription medications during the event: One medication per container and no controlled or illegal substances.

Everyone attending the Eskenazi Health West 38th Street Health Fair will have a wonderful opportunity to take advantage of our health screenings and all the information that will be available to them free of charge,” said Dr. Kenneth Klotz, chief physician executive at Eskenazi Health West 38th Street. “We want everyone in the community to come to us for their primary care needs, and use this event as the perfect opportunity for youngsters to have their health checked before going back to school.”

Eskenazi Health West 38th Street brings comprehensive health care to the International Marketplace Coalition, formerly the Lafayette Square Area Coalition, in a way that is environmentally friendly, culturally focused and available for all. The facility was designed to represent a community center that also offers health care.

Eskenazi Health West 38th Street provides primary care for everyone with services including health and wellness programs, prenatal care, urgent care, radiology, physical therapy, gynecological services, orthopedic services, integrated pain services, mammograms, dental services, sports medicine and other diagnostic testing services.
