Urology is the branch of medicine concerned with diseases of the male and female urinary tracts and male reproductive system and genital tract. Because the urinary tract is closely connected to the kidneys, urologists also are knowledgeable about nephrology, internal medicine and gynecology in order to provide the most effective treatments possible.

Eskenazi Health Urology provides services across the urinary spectrum, ranging from conditions such as end-stage renal disease to common urinary tract infections. Services focus on full medical urology diagnosis and treatment. The most serious urinary and kidney diseases include kidney stones, urinary incontinence, polycystic kidney disease and congenital anomalies. Urologists at Eskenazi Health work with patients to properly assess and diagnose their current ailment.

Urinary tract infections are some of the most commonly treated conditions by urologists, affecting both men and women across all age groups. While urinary tract infections are largely treatable, they can also be the first discernible symptom of more serious issues. Therefore, it is extremely important that the urinary tract and reproductive systems are monitored on a regular basis. Tests and procedures used to diagnose and treat urinary conditions include CT scans, cystoscopies, kidney scans, biopsies, vasectomies and urine flow tests.

Please note: Eskenazi Health Urology does not provide infertility services.
