A two-day public sale at Wishard Memorial Hospital, 1001 W. 10th St., will take place Saturday, Jan. 11, and Sunday, Jan. 12. Thousands of non-medical items will be available for purchase, and only cash will be accepted. Purchased items must be carried out at the time of purchase, so please come prepared to haul items away. The only entry point for the sale is the main entrance of Wishard Memorial Hospital on Wishard Blvd.
Items to be sold include: furniture, office chairs, desks, recliners, file cabinets, artwork, flat-screen TVs, computers, laser printers, microwaves, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, and more. Sale hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 11 and 12. On Jan. 13 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. not-for-profit organizations will have a chance to take anything that is left free of charge. Non-profits must pre-register by calling 317.880.4789 and will need to show proof of 501(c)(3) status upon arrival.
Wishard Memorial Hospital officially closed on Dec. 7 with the opening of the Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital and Eskenazi Health campus, located just blocks away in the heart of downtown.
The public sale is being conducted by Centurion Service Group, LLC, the world’s largest medical equipment auction house. Centurion Service Group works with hospitals, health systems, surgery centers, radiology centers, and other medical facilities to sell their surplus medical equipment and other assets.
“We have thousands of items for sale at prices that are really low. Our objective is to clean out the building, not to maximize profit; so bring a big truck and your wallet because it’s cash and carry and we don’t hold the merchandise,” said Erik Tivin, CEO, Centurion Service Group, LLC.
Parking is available in any of the nearby parking garages at the rates posted. Any questions can be directed to Centurion Service Group, LLC, at 708.761.6655 or info@centurionservice.com.
