Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center invites mental health professionals to attend our virtual educational speaker series. This webinar is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 11 from 4 - 5 p.m.
The discussion will be moderated by Jim Richter, Ed.S., NCC, CCMHC, LMHC, Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center director of clinical services. Participants on the panel include Krysha MacDonald, LMHC, CSPR-CL, team lead with Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Mobile Pathways; Jennifer Cianelli, LMHC, CSPR-CL, manager of the Assessment & Intervention Center (AIC) and Mobile Crisis Assistance Team; Kassandra “Kasey” Stutz, CAPRC II-MH, peer recovery coach with Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Mobile Pathways; Lindsay Huff, Certified Recovery Specialist, peer recovery coach with Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center Adult Addictions; and Michelle WeWora, Certified Recovery Specialist, peer recovery coach with AIC.
The presentation will present the evidence base of peer recovery, provide a high-level overview of peer credentialing, discuss the path to peer supervision for licensed clinicians, and have a moderated discussion with three credentialed peer recovery coaches about their experiences and observations as peer support professionals working in community mental health centers. This moderated discussion will also provide pointers to clinicians on how best to conceptualize the use of peer support within their treatment teams, both in terms of peer co-team members and in external referrals to peer support providers.
