May 6, 2019 - On Tuesday, May 14, the Eskenazi Health Farmers’ Market will kick off its 12th season of providing fresh and local produce, fresh baked goods, plants and other market items to the public. In addition, the market will offer a variety of music as well as resources and techniques to help reduce stress and improve mood.

A healthy lifestyle can help prevent mental health conditions, as well as chronic health conditions, and can help people recover from these conditions. Living a healthy lifestyle isn’t always easy, but can be achieved by making small changes and building on those successes.

May 1, 2019 - IndyCar Driver and Indianapolis 500 veteran Pippa Mann will join Donate Life Indiana and the Indiana Donor Network for a visit to the Eskenazi Health downtown campus to raise awareness around the need for organ, tissue and eye donors.

Indianapolis, April 8, 2019 – The 2019 St. Margaret’s Hospital Guild Decorators’ Show House and Gardens, the longest running decorator show house in the nation, will once again allow the public to tour a classic Indianapolis home with proceeds benefiting Eskenazi Health. This year’s residence, the historic Centennial Estate, is located at 4160 Washington Blvd.

One fateful day in 1996, a heavy gust of wind changed Richard James’ life forever. James was holding a large sheet of stainless steel on a construction site when the wind violently twisted him. The result was a severe back injury, an enormous amount of ongoing pain and the end of his career in construction.

Betsy Vance is the chief nursing information officer at Eskenazi Health. Working with Dr. Justin Morea, the chief medical information officer, she oversees the clinical informatics specialists who are a combination of nurses and one pharmacist that operate under a patient-centric, patient-safety focus. They serve as the bridge between the various clinical departments and the Eskenazi Health Information Services (IS) and Information Technology (IT) departments.
